Midland Press Outer City Limits Rose 2025 750ml

Using grapes from a single vineyard in North Herefordshire, this is the third wine introduced into Midland Press's Outer City Limits range—a series exploring opportunities for innovative winemaking from local Midlands fruit while keeping freshness and youth at its heart.

The hot growing season of 2025 allowed the late-harvested 777 clone Pinot Noir to build beautiful texture and savoury depth, while direct press winemaking preserved a fresh, crystalline acidity. The result is an unexpected profile for a rosé, delicate soft pink with a gentle haze. More reminiscent of a Blanc de Noirs, it leads with vibrant notes of blood orange, pink grapefruit, and subtle toastiness, finished with a lively, spritzy kick of natural CO2.

For this release, the wine underwent a long five-month wild yeast fermentation in stainless steel vats before being bottled young and lively straight after completion. Keeping the wine strictly in steel has locked in a high level of natural CO2, creating an exceptionally fresh, crisp, and energetic release.
